Primary Responsibilities:

The maintenance staff is responsible for maintaining the GENEVA facilities in good condition so that the program can function as well as possible without distraction. Specific tasks include the following:

1. Clean the bathhouse at GENEVA Shores twice each day—a thorough cleaning in the morning, and a second cleaning of floors and counters following the afternoon pool closing—and regularly check paper supply throughout
2. Sweep and spot-mop dining hall following each meal, giving a thorough mopping once a day
3. Empty all trash containers at least twice per week
4. Sweep the floor of the Activity and Recreation Center daily, and scrub with the cleaning machine weekly, removing any marks on the flooring
5. Set up and take down the chairs for the program closing activities in the ARC and Pines dining hall
6. Sweep walks, entry hill, entrance to bike path, and other public entry areas at least three times per week, and more frequently as needed
7. Assist in mowing and trimming grass as needed throughout camp
8. Maintain all camp vehicles in clean condition and washing exteriors and cleaning windows as needed.
9. Assist in directing traffic and parking at camp arrivals and departures for each camp session
10. Other tasks as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Attend all meetings as required of staff (orientation, daily, weekly)
2. Work to create a positive spiritual atmosphere throughout camp
3. Assist other program staff in carrying out the weekly program as able and needed (helping with songs and skits, celebration, or other camp activities)
4. Be aware of camper behavioral needs, encouraging positive involvement and addressing negative behaviors, reporting concerns to leadership
5. Function as a full member of the summer staff, participating in activities, building relationships, and carrying out the ministry of GENEVA throughout the summer

Primary Responsibilities:

The kitchen staff is responsible for assisting the cooks and other food service staff in preparing and serving all meals and other food service for GENEVA programs throughout the summer. 

Specific tasks include the following:

1. Assist in preparing food for serving 
2. Assist in set-up and clean-up of dining hall, kitchen area and serving line
3. Assist in the proper storage of food service items (food, equipment, cleaning supplies)
4. Assist food service management staff in maintaining standards of cleanliness, sanitation and safety
5. Participate in general camp programming during times outside of the kitchen

7. Be willing and able to rotate into other positions for a week as needed/assigned.

Able to operate and set up triangle pumps and fillers, code date, and label machines.

Able to keep product weights according to written specifications.

Responsible for keeping the line supplied with raw materials at all times (noodles, peppers, sauce, pans, etc.).

Able to complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner (skid tickets, etc.).

Job Summary:

Responsible for various types of pipe fabrication, welding, and threading to customer specifications.

1st and 2nd Shift Mig Welders Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

These include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
• Weld pipe to customer specifications by hand and by automated machine.
• Read mechanical drawings to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment to make product according to the customer expectations.
• Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece.
• Thread pipe.
• Perform minor machine maintenance.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Comply with applicable OSHA regulations.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Work safely.

1st and 2nd Shift Mig Welders Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of Company products and specifications.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability and skill to MIG weld and operate fabrication shop machinery.
• Ability to measure accurately.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environment.
• Effective communication, teamwork, production, and stress management skills
• Ability to easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator.
• Computer literate.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications and/or Licenses:

•  
• Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment.

Resident Aid 

Manual MIG/TIG welding along with operating robotic weld cells which primarily involves (un)loading and quality checks.

The welder fabricates custom industrial HVAC equipment. Using drawings, the welder manually MIG welds structural components (tube and angle) to form a frame of each custom unit and 10-18 gauge sheet steel to complete the skin.  Fabrication is the key element of this position, as the Welder builds a unit from the ground up using subcomponents from the previous step in the process given only the final drawing design from Engineering. There are no step-by-step instructions.  The welder figures out the order of fabrication for the pieces presented to him or her.  A typical unit can be 5-10 feet tall and the same wide and long.  It takes anywhere from 1 to 3 days to fabricate a unit. The detail steps of fabrication for our units will be taught to a new welder, however, MIG welding experience is required.
